Members of Hailsham Chambers’ personal injury group represent claimants and defendants in claims arising from injuries at work, road-traffic accidents and catastrophic head and spinal injuries.
Claimant work: Having had a strong connection over many years with a number of unions, particularly the Royal College of Nursing, Hailsham Chambers’ members have represented injured nurses since 1987. In addition, counsel have always enjoyed a large volume of claimant work, previously funded through legal aid and now through conditional-fee agreement and private arrangements.
Defence work: Members of the Personal Injury Group have an equally strong connection with a number of the leading insurance companies for example, Chambers is on the Aviva panel for heavyweight cases and members represent them in the leading cases for spinal and head injuries.
