Clare specialises in professional liability, insurance and regulatory and disciplinary work. Her practice involves high value complex claims, particularly in the context of clinical negligence claims and negligence claims against solicitors and barristers. She has appeared frequently in courts and regulatory tribunals at all levels in England and Wales.
She has also chaired five Independent Inquiries following homicides committed by people who have been under the care of NHS Mental Health Services, leading a multi-disciplinary team and having responsibility for writing the final reports containing recommendations to the NHS for the future provision of mental health services.
