Amy Chapman

Amy joined Hailsham as a tenant upon successful completion of her pupillage. She accepts instructions across all of Chambers’ practice areas.

Amy completed pupillage under the supervision of Henry Bankes-Jones, Nicola Campbell-Clause and Heather McMahon. She has drafted pieces of work in professional liability and clinical negligence matters, including pleadings, advices and skeleton arguments. She has appeared before the County Court in various matters and the High Court in an infant approval hearing.

Prior to starting pupillage, Amy worked as a paralegal in the litigation team at the Medical Protection Society. While undertaking the law conversion course, Amy volunteered as a legal research assistant with Centre for Women’s Justice and acted as an advocate with the School Exclusion Project, where she appeared before Governing Body and Independent Review Panels on the behalf of pupils who had been expelled from school. During her Bar School Studies, she worked as a paralegal at Springfield Advice and Law Centre, advising clients on social housing and community care matters.
